Mounted Units Past SchooljpgThe Rockland County Sheriff's Mounted Unit needs your help! Due to the current economic climate and the tightening of municipal budgets, the Mounted Unit is no longer being funded by the County. The Mounted Unit has been in existence since 1962 and wants to continue to provide the citizens of Rockland County with the service and security they deserve. The "Mounted Police Foundation of Rockland County" was established to help continue this great legacy.

This amazing unit hosts a remount school every year for units in the surrounding areas. They teach new horses, new riders and even veterans something new every year. Their remount school has made me a much better rider. Thank you for everything
