We Made It

Her mom battled cancer for some years, and during her last moments on this earth, I got to spend a lot of time with her.  I wrote these songs during the journey of her last days.  Every 2nd Saturday of the month, we joined other, caregivers, patients, ministers,  nurses, at a support meeting and I was able to perform for them during some of the meetings.  We shared stories, tears, tips, etc, for everyone there. I wrote "Warrior" off my EP, for all the Survivors who have fought through the different fights of cancer. I felt as if, that was the least I could do, since I was not able to help them out physically, but I know my words, and prayers were heard.  My mom being a vital part of my music career, since she encouraged me to perform in front of a church crowd at the age of 12, I knew I wanted to dedicate this EP to her, and every other family, who has a family member, that is battling any kind of disease.  At first we are sad, because we will not see them anymore, but as time goes by, I realize, SHE MADE IT...She finished her assignment, her course, her destiny, and I'm still here to do my part, before it's my time to leave.
