Dan is campaigning for the seat in the United States Congress representing Maryland's 6th district which comprises all of the state's western panhandle as well as portions of Frederick and Montgomery County.  During a recent trip through one of the many beautiful areas of Maryland, Dan had a message he wanted to share with you:

"
Driving through Lonaconing in Allegany County, after visiting a manufacturing plant, I had an observation. I had driven down that specific street in Lonaconing many times but, after hearing the struggles the plant was having in order to remain competitive, I saw the street differently. I noticed that the small businesses on the street were struggling with the very same issues as the plant, regardless of their size. Heavy-handed, government-generated red tape, uncompetitive tax policies and misguided trade policies are all combining to produce an economically deadly soup which is poisoning middle-class America.

Friends, it doesn't have to be this way. We are being unnecessarily divided by power-hungry politicians working for their benefit, not ours. Please remember, there are no union issues, or Hispanic issues, or business issues, there are only American issues, such as quality jobs, affordable benefits, decent housing and financial security. The differences among us are only in the strategic means by which we reach these goals.

I urge you to please look past the disingenuous DC talking points and evaluate the people sincerely looking to make a difference on their merits, not the primitive stereotypes propagated by those who drive down that same street and only see campaign dollars and votes, not the blood, sweat and tears of middle-class Americans struggling for a better tomorrow."

Dan attended City University of New York where he completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology and completed his second graduate degree, a Master of Business Administration, at Penn State University.  Dan served on the NYPD force while earning is undergraduate degree, he then joined the ranks of the U.S. Secret Service in 1999 as a special agent where he graduated the Secret Service training academy with academic honors.  In 2006, he entered into duty on the elite Presidential Protection Division during President George W. Bush's administration, graduating at the top of his class in the difficult detail training program, he continued to serve into the current presidential administration.

Dan and Paula have been married for ten years, they live in Maryland, own their own small business and are the proud parents of two daughters, Isabel and Amelia. They are active members of their church community.  For more info please visit- bongino.com
