About this campaign

Our Mission
Our mission is to provide free pet food, supplies, veterinary care and spay/neuter services for the pets of the underserved and homeless within our community. We provide the needed support in a judgement free environment for many low-income areas in Louisville, KY to help owners who desire to keep their pets.

My Dog Eats First was founded in 2014 and is a licensed 501(c)(3) to help serve the homeless and indigent with pets in the greater Louisville area.

We will always welcome all people, no matter what their station in life may be or what personal challenges they face as long as they are fully committed to the health and wellness of their pets. We believe in the healing power of pets and in the love and companionship that these pets bring to the underserved and homeless. We envision a world made better by the impacts we can have when we all do a little something good for others.
