About this campaign

Our family was directly impacted by MS. While everyone was struggling with what happened on September 11, 2001, our family was dealing with it's own tragedy. On September 16, 2001 my brother Mark passed away. He had been suffering from Primary Progressive MS, a form of MS that impacts 10% to 15% of those diagnosed with MS and is exactly what the name implies. A form of MS that is progressive in nature with no cure. On June 13 we will ride the Tour de Vine MS Bike Ride. For more information or donate directly to our team campaign or a team member you can go to our team page:http://bit.ly/1xJbBI9 We have also made T shirts available to show support proceeds for T shirts will go directly to our team fund raising efforts. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Multiple sclerosis affects millions of people, including our loved ones, families, friends and co-workers. That's why our team, Mark's Striders, hasregistered for the Tour de Vine Bike MS. Bike MS is a ride that brings us together to make a difference in the lives of people affected by multiple sclerosis… and each mile we ride brings us closer to a world free of MS. Week of September 11, Our Own Personal Tragedy Our family was directly impacted by MS. While a cure for MS was not available to Mark, we will strive to help others. It iswhy our team isregistered for Bike MS. Bike MS is a ride (not a race) that brings us together to make a difference and each mile we ride brings us closer to a world free of MS. A Family Affair Continues in 2015 We are all connected by those that are impacted with MS. In essence we are one family finding positive ways to impactour loved ones impacted by the harsh and debilitating effects of MS. We cannot take their burden away or ease their physical and emotional; suffering directly. What we can do is to raise money that directly supports resources and research to find a cure. This year we are excited. We are expanding our team and reaching out beyond our immediate family. Our team, in addition to havingall of Mark's siblings (6 brothers and 1 sister) riding we are welcoming friendsthat will be riding with us.To visit our team page and connect or donate toany team member you can go here: http://bit.ly/1xJbBI9 About MS We areasking you to support us in Bike MS because this cause is very meaningful to us.Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS. Most likely you know someone that suffers from MS. Sufferers of MS arechallenged everydayliving with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
Please Support All Those with MS Your gift helps support cutting-edge research and programs and services for everyone impacted by MS.When you donate, you're helping all those who suffer from MS. Chances are there is a loved one, friend, colleague or church member that you know that suffers from MS! Ending MS means no one will hear the words "You have MS" ever again. Every dollar counts! To donate directly to our campaign for any team member you can vist our team page: http://bit.ly/1xJbBI9 Thank you for purchasing a T shirt for our campaign to raise awareness for MS and contributing to our effort to support those that suffer everyday with MS.
