About this campaign

So many of you have asked how you can help us! This is just one way. In 2017, between Lucas and Jen, they will have up to 6 surgeries. This fundraiser will help offset some of the medical expenses. All funds raised will be split equally between Lucas and Jen.
Lucas' deductible/out pocket expenses will be $6,300 this year. Jens' will be $7,500. Jen has met hers as of February. After Lucas' 10 day hospital stay, he will have met his. Both of them will still have to pay 20% of all bills.

In 2003, Jen was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy. This is an auto immune disease that causes her body to attack her kidneys anytime she gets sick. In April 2016, she started going into kidney failure. Jen is in the kidney transplant process now. The money raised from the sales of this shirt will be used toward her medical expenses and monthly bills as she will not receive a paycheck for her three months of recovery.

Lucas has throat stenosis. When Lucas was 3 years old, his family was in a horrible car accident causing him to be thrown to the floor board and jaws of life was used. The doctors said that he would not survive the night. They were wrong. They then said he would be a vegetable after coming out of a 2 week coma. They were wrong. When the doctor went to intubate him, the doctor scarred Lucas' throat causing his throat to scar. Because of this, the doctor put in a trach which in turn ruined his voice box. As of March 2017, Lucas has had 76 surgeries. He currently has a trach in order to help him breathe.

Lucas and Jen have always encouraged each other with the phrase, "God's Got This!" in difficult situations. Their faith is strong, and they know that God will get them through these medical situations. Together, they have designed this t-shirt and hope that you will enjoy it and always remember that God will take care of you!
