Beckett was born on August 4, 2014. Two short months later, he was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and his journey to fight this disease began. He had surgery (Kasai) on October 13, 2014 and since then he has dealt with several forms of ascites (fluid buildup in the belly) and has undergone paracentesis around eleven times now. He is now listed for a liver transplant and he and his family are anxiously awaiting the day that he can have a second chance at life.
