About this campaign

November 1annually is International LGS Day, the official awareness day for Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome around the world. The LGS Foundation kicks off epilepsy awareness month every November with International LGS Day by engaging the LGS community, organizing events, and leading awareness activities on or around November 1.

The LGS Foundation's 2016 Main LGS Awareness Day Event will take place at the Superhero Atrium @ the Port Discovery Children's Museumon Saturday, October 29th from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Join us as we celebrate real-life superheroes; those living with LGS and their families, for this incredible superhero-themed LGS awareness event! This year's gala will feature special appearances by MediKidz and other Superheroes, games, activities, dancing, and more.

Help us raise awareness before November 1st by purchasing this superhero themed wheelchair design. All proceeds will go towards the LGSF.

LGS (Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome) is a rare and severe form of childhood-onset epilepsy. The syndrome is characterized by frequent, uncontrolled seizures, moderate to severe cognitive impairment, and an abnormal EEG. It is estimated that less than 50,000 individuals in the United States live with LGS. Although there is no cure for LGS, it is our hope that new treatment options become available to help patients living with this disorder.
