About this campaign

On June 30th, members of Hui Mālama Makanalua will be placing lei on every known burial site on the Kalaupapa peninsula--to honor all who were once sent to live in isolation because of Hansen's disease. Purchase of a commemorative t-shirt will help to defray lei shipping costs.

Hui Mālama Makanalua is a group of friends, students, and teachers; neighbors and 'ohana (family); who all share a deep connection to the Kalaupapa peninsula and its kūpuna (elders, ancestors).
