About our designer: Kyle Kleiboeker
Growing up in Prairie Village, Kansas, Kyle always knew he was unique. Instead of playing T-Ball- he wanted to be in dance class, Instead of playing at recess- he was designing costumes for his future "Sold Out World Tour." It was his 2nd Grade Elementary Talent Show when he really became aware that bullying existed. Kyle danced- in a purple sequin jacket and purple biker shorts. The guys made fun of him because 'dancing was for girls' and the girls made fun of him because 'boys play Soccer'. From that point on the kids tortured Kyle so badly that he remembers not even wanting to attend school - all for just being himself and doing what made him happy.
Bullying stops us from being who we want to be and prevents us from expressing ourselves freely. It's time to stop humiliating others because they are "different" and start raising them up. Bullying has to end and it has to start with us. Be a hero. If you are being bullied- stand up for yourself and stand up for others. It's time for change.
Kyle is now a successful Broadway performer, appearing in some of Broadway's biggest blockbusters! Including Hairspray, The Wedding Singer and RENT. He's traveled the world as a featured singer for Royal Caribbean International, walked in New York Fashion Week and appeared in print ads across the country for American Eagle Outfitters. Kyle is currently appearing on USA's reality competition series SUMMER CAMP and is proud to represent for the kids who "never thought they could."
About the Be Good to Each Other campaign
At CustomInk, we believe in the Golden Rule and treating others with kindness and respect. Statistics show that between 20-30% of school-aged kids in the United States have been bullied. That is why we've created the Be Good To Each Other campaign to help increase awareness and ultimately prevent bullying by uniting groups with custom t-shirts.
This is the third year of the CustomInk Be Good To Each Other campaign. With the help of our celebrity partners, the media and you, CustomInk has raised more than $20,000 for bullying prevention efforts. And the power of t-shirts goes beyond just the funds raised - thousands of people continue to wear the shirts they've purchased and spread the word that bullying is not okay!
