About this campaign

Knights of Peace Gaming Community has been going strong for two years. We are hoping to continue with it's growth, and possibly branch out to other communities. We have had many suggestions and requests. Unfortunately, the Community leaders cannot rely on their own income if we plan to go further with our community. You are welcomed to purchase our Knights of Peace T-shirts to help us raise funds to continue making our community bigger and better. We have many plans for new events and RPs, and we appreciate every member that has helped to make that possible.

internationalpngChristian (Zaii'gal) and I (Mariah .. or "Shy") got married in March of 2013. It was right after Christian got out of Tech School for the Air Force. He is active duty military and we are currently stationed 13 hours from our families. Fortunately, we have been able to build an additional family while we are traveling for Christian's career. When we first started to play SWTOR, we were in a home with one laptop and no furniture. We had ourselves, our dog, and a 1999 Malibu. With love and support, and time.. we have everything we could possibly ask for. We have since had a beautiful little girl, who has brought so much joy to our lives. Still, our guild is our second child. We have made some amazing friends in the time we have played SWTOR. I (Mariah) don't work. I am a stay at home mommy and guild leader. I cook, clean, take care of my daughter, and co-run four guilds. It's not always easy, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. We are hoping to continue this amazing journey and make our community something more.

Christian and I hit a rough patch this year, in January. We were struggling to keep our marriage together and I was struggling with depression. This is something that the guild always helped me with. I have a low self esteem and am -extremely- shy in the real world. I don't have friends around here, even when I have tried to get involved with local events. Christian and I eventually decided that we were the most important people in each other's lives, and things worked out. I got on medication to help with my depression. I cannot explain in words how amazing things have been since. Without our friends and our community, I am not sure things would have gone that way. We want to continue giving back to our community and allowing it to grow. With funding, we will be able to do more fun events and get more people to our community. We will be able to do more Lotteries, give-aways, and contests that allow us to give out subscriptions to members. We can have help paying for our own subscriptions (since money is tight with a little one) and subscriptions for other games when we branch out.

We do not expect anyone to sympathize and pay us. We want our members to see what we could do with a little push. Our community will be more enjoyable and events will be larger.

Thank you all for your help and fellowship.
