Kira's Fight Against Lupus

Thank you for supporting Lupus Foundation of America - Greater Ohio Chapter. You have found my page of where you will learn a little more about Kira. Kira is almost 22 and haves six autoimmune disease's. Lupus, Sjogrens, Fibromyalgia, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Interstitial Cystitis, and Joint Hyper mobility Syndrome. These diseases are taking a toll on her body to the point where its become too difficult for her to go to school, and can't be a normal college student. She in a wheelchair when she can't stand for too long, and is in and out of the hospital constantly. Kira is trying to re-learn how to use her body so that she is not ruining her joints or muscles. Lupus effects all of her organs, including her skin and her hair. Doing this Lupus walk is something Kira looks forward to every year. Its finding a cure for this terrible disease.
