Kira Kosarin, best known for her role live action Nickelodeon series “The Thundermans,”is an actress, dancer, singer/songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist all at the young age of 16. Born in New Jersey to a veteran Broadway-performer mother and a musical director and record-producer father, Kira was destined to follow in her parents’ talented footsteps. She started wowing musical theater audiences at an early age, and at 12, she discovered her passion for acting. Encouraged by her acting instructor in Florida, Kira moved to L.A. and was immediately signed by a top talent agency, leading to her guest starring role on the popular Disney Channel show “Shake it Up.” While shooting “The Thundermans,” Kira still finds time to devote 8-10 hours a week to dance, and even more on her time off. An accomplished dancer (top ten 2013 Youth America Grand Prix Senior Contemporary Regional Division), Kira loves ballet en pointe, but also enjoys jazz, contemporary, modern, lyrical, and even excels in hip-hop. Prior to becoming serious about dance, Kira was a competitive gymnast and continues to occasionally participate in the sport.
