About this campaign

The Joseph DiStefano Softball Tournamenthas been started as a memoriam to our father, whom we lost to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on November 21, 2013, at the age of 63.The proceeds from the event will benefit families struggling with medical expenses, a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and ascholarship to St. Joseph's High School in his name.

The Joseph DiStefano MemorialSoftball Tournament has been started as a memoriam to our father, Joesph DiStefano, whom we lost to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on November 21, 2013, at the young age of 63. Joe DiStefano was born and raised in New Brunswick, NJ, attending St. Mary's Grammar School, St. Joseph's High School, and Seton Hall University. He battled cancer like a true warrior for seven years, undergoing endless rounds of chemotherapy, blood transfusions, and two, very dangerous, stem cell transplants. He was not able to fight any longer after his second stem cell transplant, and succumbed to a severe infection. In order to give back in his honor, we have started this event.

Joe was a truly courageous person, that fought the toughest battle he could to try to beat that dreadful disease. Unfortunately for all of us he lost that battle. So, now in his honor his beloved family & friends will continue this fight for others
