Jasmine's Figure Competition Fundraiser

                                                      Hiiiii!

My name is Jasmine.  I've wanted to compete for a few years now but I did not due to fear of failure. After my Mom suddenly passed away in November (Nov. 1, 2014) I decided to use fitness as a way to help me through my grieving. Not only did I need something to make sure I continued to take care of myself and health, but I also needed motivation to get me out of bed each day. 

In January 2015 I registered for my very first competition: NGA Mr. & Ms. Natural Philadelphia located in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. The competition will be on May 2, 1015. 

I also plan on competing in the NGA 5th Annual Mr. & Ms. World’s Gym Philly Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Championships (July 11, 2015). My goal is to raise $2,000 to help cover the cost of the competition’s expenses (such as my figure posing suit, spray tan, and polygraph to name a few).


Having something to work towards is helping me cope with the passing of my Mom. I love and miss her soooooo much and I thank God for the strength that He is giving me to get through each day. Some days are not as good as others, but I am making sure that I #StayCommitted and not cheat myself out of this opportunity to be healthier and pass on the knowledge. I know that I have family, friends (live and virtual ) as well as supporters that will help me reach my goal so that I can #StayCommitted to my dream to compete. “#StayCommitted” is my constant reminder to keep going, despite of the circumstance. If I can do it with such a heavy heart, then you know you can too. While you have the time, the opportunity, the thought, stay committed to your dreams and desires. The journey might or might not be long, but it’ll be much longer if you keep putting it off. In addition, 15% of all monetary contributions  from both sites will be donated to,and divided equally between, the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association at the closing of both campaigns (3 July 2015).  These particular charities were chosen because of a family member's recent diagnosis of cancer in December 2014 [Gram recently passed away this April...], and my Mom's suffering of  heart disease prior to her passing.
