About this campaign

My heart is filled with sorrow because God's people are in emotional, physical, psychological, and financial distress. Corinthians 12:26 states, "If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together."

I have to do more, which is why I am striving to raise $20,000. This will allow The Food Bank of East Michigan to purchase 4,600 cases of water and lead fighting foods for children with lead poisoning. You don't have to be from Flint to help out! I am from Hattiesburg, Mississippi and I am taking a stand to make a difference. We possess the power to make a positive impact on their lives. We are in this together! I Stand For Flint, Will You?

With each Flint, Michigan news article that I read, my sorrow grows stronger. Currently, 40% of Flint's population is living under the poverty line. Their pipes are corroded and their water is undrinkable. They do not possess the purchasing power to relocate. Their children are suffering from lead poisoning and other diseases, which causes irreversible damage. They are experiencing emotional and psychological distress.

Every day, I ask myself, "What if this was me? What if I had to rock my daughter to sleep every night because she is in agonizing pain? What if I�was placed i� a position where I had to lie to my family every day by telling them everything will be okay!"
