Happy Tale

Why I am doing this because I have 4 loving dogs, twoof them we rescued froma breeding operation andthe other two were from a shelter. In Missouri animals that are in a shelter can bekilled on the sixth day after a five day holding period. To think that on the sixth day my dogs could have been killed and not be here with me and my family. In my home town, our shelter is a kill shelter. They kill hundreds of dogs and cats each year instead of providing them shelter until they find a home of hope. I love animals so much I always believe they should get a 2nd chance in life. My old dog was stolen from me on my birthday and all we found of him was his collar. My mom checked every shelter there was and all said the same thing "no." Can you imagine - if you were lost in a place you have never seen and you had 5 days to find home or you would die on that 6th day; well that's how it is for kill shelters. The really bad thing about kill shelters is if they put your animal down and you come in the next daywhat they have done can not be fixed. So this is why I need your help to stop Kill shelters to give our loving little friends another chance to find a home of hope. I am doing a petition to take to the Mayor and City Council and I would like to present to them a donation for the shelter too. This would help convince them to make a plan to change our shelter into a NO KILL shelter and maybe more...
