About this campaign

Buying a Holidays on Harrison t-shirt allows the Lakeview Civic Improvement Association to continue offering important Community events for the Lakeview area. Your support makes these events possible!

The Lakeview Civic Improvement Association is one of the oldest and largest neighborhood civic groups in the State of Louisiana. Established in 1924, LCIA has been the leading voice for our residents and businesses in times of prosperity, in times of disaster, and in times of recovery. As this neighborhood moves well beyond the unprecedented events of 2005, LCIA will continue to serve its residents to the best of its ability and in response to the original purpose of LCIA: to serve as a means for Lakeview residents to work together in creating a safe, pleasant, and civic-minded neighborhood by drawing on the interests and talents of the membership to solve problems and improve the quality of life in Lakeview.

Our residents are the heart and soul of this neighorhood. Whether you are new to the neighborhood or you and your family have lived here for generations, Lakeview is home. LCIA strives to ensure that each of our residents stay informed with answers to important questions, remain informed on key issues impacting your community, and to become truly involved in the neighborhood you now call home.

The Lakeview Civic Improvement Association is proud to sponsor Holidays on Harrison, an annual community event designed to celebrate the Holiday Season within our neighborhood. This event will be held along Harrison Avenue. Student groups from area schools will perform onstage in the parking lot of Lakeview Grocery and West Marine. Following the performances, families can board a trolley to take a caroling spin around Harrison Avenue. The trolley will stop at various points along the way to spread holiday cheer! Tell the kiddos to be good because Santa will make his annual appearance as well! To promote foot traffic, we are preparing a “Holiday Scavenger Hunt” for our guests and asking businesses to remain open during the Holidays on Harrison event. We look forward to you joining LCIA as we light up our neighborhood with pride and joy while promoting our local businesses and schools
