Team Filali is a small unofficialorganization created in November, 2013. It consists of determined and positiveMuslim role modelswho want to inspire the females of this Ummah. Their vision is to promote, empower, and connect the diverse muslim community through the media and through sports in the upcoming future. Some of their future projects include hosting events and tournaments, as well asbeginning sports leagues for Muslim women and youth. With the #Hijabistrong movement, Team Filali hopes to gain widespread attention in the Western world and theMuslimcommunity, enabling them to clear misconceptions of Islam. The media is believed to be a very powerful source, and if used wisely, can have a positive impact on society. With this campaign, this team plans on doing just that.
