About this campaign

By purchasing a t-shirt, you will be donating to our Emergency Vet Fund, which enables us to continue to give sick, injured, abused, stray and unwanted pets achance at life and finding forever, loving homes. We feel that every animal deserves to live a long, healthy and happy life – your financial support will allow us to continue in our mission to provide them with that opportunity and ease their pain and suffering.

Heartland Humane Society of Missouri focuses on saving dogs and cats in St. Charles County, Missouri, and surrounding counties. Localanimal control shelters are overflowing with unwanted and abandoned pets and these facilities do not have the financial or staff resources to provide proper veterinarian care and adoption opportunities for the pets in their custody. Dogs and cats are euthanized every day simply because their owners or the open-admission shelters that they are taken to are unable to afford the cost of medical expenses such as dental work, broken bones, treatment for illnesses/heartworms, or surgical procedures. This fundraiserwill supplement our emergency vet fund so that we can continueto save these animals and provide for their medical care in order for them tobe adopted out to loving, permanent homes.

Since Heartland's formation in 1998, we have served thousands ofanimals in need in many areas, including rural countieswhere pets are often abandoned by their owners and left without food, water and shelter. Many of them have never received veterinarian care so they come to us with various illnesses, injuries, and parasites; many of which are costly to treat. Heartland relies solely on adoption fees, grants and donations to cover our operational/medical expenses, so paying for expensive treatments and surgeries above and beyond the normal can be very difficult for a non-profit rescue group to take on. Regardless, we do our best to help as many animals as we can with the resources that we have; and without our help, these animals will suffer on the streets with no oneto provide care for them.

On average, we spend roughly $8,000 a month on vet bills for our foster animals. That's a lot of money, especially for a group our size! By establishing and maintaining anemergency vet fund, we can continue to save more dogs and cats, including those inneed of special medical care. However, to do so, we need your support! The proceeds raised from this t-shirt fundraiser will be strictly used for vet bills and your donation will allow us to continue in our mission to rescue stray, unwanted, abused and injured/sick animals. Thank you for your generosity and support!
