About this campaign

My Name Is Starr Andrews Strong. I am currently writing a book titled Hyperemesis Gravidarum Before During And The Aftermath, with my Co author Carissa Olowski on HG and sharing my journey and nightmare story of nine months of HG hell. I will be telling my story in great detail and along with other mothers journey's with HG . Answering commonly ask questions and als dealingin the atermath f HG . I amhoping my book will bring much needed awareness for HG and for the public to stop calling it morning sickness. I designthese shirt. Each shirt will promote the book and give back to helpher.org . Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) is a life threatening pregnancy condition, that pregnant mothers can suffer from. This is NOT morning sickness, it's beyond. Morning Sickness won't kill you HG will. HG causes severe nausea and vomiting and severe dehydration and malnourishment in the mother. Mothers can suffer from weight loss, unable to hold down fluids and food and are weak and unable to work or function and quality of life. HG mothers have to rely on medication and IV hydration to survive and many HG babies do not make it to a life birth. 1 out of 3 babies do not make it to a life birth I feel this number is much higher. Without medication many babies die. I vomited over 100 times a day to the point of blood, I popped blood vessel in my eyes, my cheeks my eye would bleed from the force of vomiting, I was unable to drink anything my iv bag was my water. I was sick and dying and had to fight for my medical care when I was so sick just trying to survive each day. It is so important to raise awareness for HG and that is what the HER Foundation does. We need more research done and education from HER to find out more about HG the causes and cure to this so our daughters don't suffer. Many mothers dont get good medical care and suffer in the aftermath of HG. Myself ,I suffer with CVS Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, Gastroparesis, PTSD, vitamin deficiencies, all my teeth rotted due to HG and the return of CVS after HG. My daughter has alot of health issues cause by HG. HG has left a lasting impact on my health and my family. Please by a shirt for HG awareness day May 5 2016 and support the cause.
