About this campaign
The 2015 Chatham County unduplicated count of those served includes 3,475 men & women, and 749 children/youth. These numbers are only expected to increase when the 2016 numbers are released. What can you do to help? Southern Soul Survivors, Inc. is collecting donations for our organization and others in the area. The 2015 Chatham County unduplicated count of those served reveals 4,224 individuals who were homeless in Chatham County. This includes 2270 men (54%), 1205 women (28%), and 749 CHILDREN/YOUTH (18%) according to the Homeless Authority in Savannah. The number is only expected to increase once the 2016 numbers are released.
The following items are desperately needed –
Blankets, Sleeping Bags, Clothing (all sizes), Diapers, New undergarments, Socks, Shoes, Personal Hygiene Products (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, baby & personal wipes), Towels, Backpacks, Trash bags, Tarps, Bug Repellent, Flash lights, Waterproof storage containers, etc.…
