The Help Taylor Heal Fund

Meet Taylor Lee Barta, an energetic, happy 6-year-old boy who lights up a room when he smiles. In January of 2014, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS). RMS is the most common type of soft-tissue cancer in children, however, ARMS is a very rare & aggressive form of RMS. We have established this fundraiser to help out Taylor & his family during this very difficult time. Taylor's mom, Laura, is a Project Manager at Envirotrac, & his dad, Les, is a lieutenant with Rutgers University Emergency Services. Taylor's treatment program consists of 54 weeks of chemotherapy & additional treatments. Laura & Les are constantly running him from hospital to hospital & doctor to doctor. They are doing this while trying to keep some sense of normalcy for Taylor, as well as his younger brother, Ryan, & his baby sister, Sarah. We have set up this fundraiser to help Laura & Les deal with the expenses that are building up, in the hope of giving them one less worry as they endure this unimaginable fight. For those of you who know them as Monroe residents or as RU grads, through Laura's family's farm, or who know Les on the job as a paramedic & firefighter, these are great people, & Taylor is one awesome kid. They have always been there for us as friends, & this is just one little thing we can do to be there for them now.
