About this campaign
This was created to help raise money to pay for the ICU, CCU, and rehabilitation care. Bill has obviously not been able to work and we are getting the run around from disability, and I am retired so money is nearly non-existent.
Bill became very ill and missed about a week of work. After finally getting him to agree to see a doctor (he refuses to see doctors because of these enormous bills). The doctor would not let him leave the office because his health was so poor he could barely walk. They transferred him via ambulance on oxygen straight to Bloomington OSF where we thought we were going to lose him. They had him on life support for about a week and in a coma state. It's so hard to see your superman (papa) like that. We were given very bad news that he wouldn't survive but maybe 10 hours off of live support and had 3 organ system failures.
As of today our superman has been taken off of life support, is starting to learn to move and walk again, and is talking!! We couldn't be more thankful! He is still fighting this elusive infection in his lungs and has a very long road ahead of him but he seems to make improvements every day. See, this is why we call him superman =)
