About this campaign

We finally have a cure for Hepatitis C! The FDA and multiple medical societies declare this a breakthrough in treatments for liver patients. However, some state and private payors have said that they will deny patients access to these life-saving medications. This campaign will fund economic/value research, awareness, and policy activities to support access for all patients who need treatment.

Hepatitis C affects more than 3 million people in the U.S. and 180 million around the world. More people die from Hepatitis C each year than from HIV. Only 3-5% of patients are receiving treatment. There is no other infectious communicable disease for which we have a cure and yet, as a matter of policy, decide to let people get sicker and die.
