About this campaign
Donna's love for animals tugged at her "Hart" strings & her "Mann" power gave her strength to do something about it. Help continue her love of animals andsupport the Chesapeake Humane Society by purchasing a T-Shirt or making a donation.
Donna Hart Mann, a 1982 Great Bridge High School graduate,
passed awayon Dec. 9, 2014,after a strong and courageous battle with Peritoneal
Mesothelioma. Donna retired from Chesapeake Animal Control after 30 years as a
Senior Officer. She was an avidequestrian, a member of SEAT, and
the United States Equine Rescue League. Donna was often referred to by her
co-workers as the "Dog Whisperer". Her love of animals was inspirational as the kind of love everyone
should feel for others, whether they are four-legged or two. She loved her
family, friends, and all animals; and she embraced life with compassion,
empathy, and an energy thatis a true testament of the love in her heart.
We should all aspire to do so as beautifully and as willingly.
