A few more latkes with your turkey?
What did you say? Hanukkah falls on Thanksgiving in 2013! How am I going to
roast a turkey, bake pumpkin pies, and fry latkes at the same time? Shall I
deep fry the turkey or stuff it with brisket?
This year and for the first time since Thanksgiving is celebrated, the
first day of Hanukkah will coincide with Turkey Day. It is a unique double
Holiday and will not happen again for over 70000 years!
Thanksgiving and Hanukkah share many of the same values: dedication, peace
between nations, gratitude, and family. Let’s celebrate the values of this
double holiday by raising funds for the International Rescue Committee
(IRC), a global non-profit organization founded in 1933 at the suggestion
of Albert Einstein. The IRC brings populations "from Harm to Home" in all
major humanitarian crises by helping people survive, recover, and rebuild
their lives.
Get your commemorative Hanukkahgiving T-Shirt and celebrate this once in a
lifetime event. For every T-Shirt a minimum of $8 is donated to the IRC!
If we reach our goal of 1,000 T-Shirts through our campaigns the amount
donated per T-Shirt will grow to over $12!
