About this campaign
Paterson N.J. is plagued with violence, guns and drugs have taken over our communities and with not to many alternatives the youth have joined in the activity on the streets and this needs to stop.
Guns Down ( Take it to the ring ) is a movie with a message that re-directs the mind of our youth, we show the young adults involved in street activities how to change the mindset and lifestyle of shooting and killing.
We show the value of life and the way we transition from the streets to the positive mainstream of life. Let's take it from the streets to the ring.

JumpStart Productions began in 2000, traveling to schools through out the Tri-State area with a play/monologue and panel . Our Mission is to educate youth and adults through drama. We use the arts to heal and drama to break barriers. Our film projects are a part of a movement to re-direct the mind of the youth today. We empower the community through our films, we use real life situations such as drug and alcohol addiction plaguing the community and the Stop the Violence Movement.
We need assistance with our new movie Gun's Down ( Take it to the ring ), this movie will show young men how to transform their mindset as well as their lives from the street corruption and other negative activities the streets have to offer. Because of a lack of funding, a lack of programs, and a lack of employment there is nothing for the youngsters in Paterson to get involved in so they turn to the streets and the negative influences surrounding our communities.
JumpStart has put together some positive programs involving music, film and acting. We are giving our youth an opportunity to explore and participate in the arts.
