Grrl Jam Supports Wishlist Foundation!

Our singer is a disabled Veteran. Some of our members have needed medical help, or food bank help, and even help as music teachers trying to bring instruments BACK to the schools, so the creative arts become part of the world of children. We're all fans and friends of other Pearl Jam fans who have each participated in events and programs which have been improved or even CREATED because of the Wishlist Foundation. For these reasons, we want to give back to the organization that gives so much to us-- not only as fans, and friends of fans, but as a community of people who see the big picture. Wishlist Foundation is a key part of keeping grass roots movements in the forefront of life changing moments for others.
Our singer, Edie, aka Cathe, has several "hidden disabilities", and some that are not so well hidden. There are days you'll see her in a wheelchair, or using her canes-- but she is not bedridden. Why? Wishlist Foundation was able to help support causes that led to her improved health- so much so she is now able to rock out during shows. Another member survived a brutal home life, and rather than living hand to mouth on the streets, she was able to join a women's shelter and receive food for her children. How? The Wishlist Foundation helped a fan get a food bank and another fan was able to support a women's shelter. YOU may be in a situation that one day you have no control over... and maybe you, or another fan, will ask the foundation to help your cause. THAT is why we love this organization- it lets the fans decide how and where the support goes- and ultimately, the support will change someone's life for the better.

Go ahead and read the mission statement at WishlistFoundation.org.  Our band has put together a shirt sale. When you buy a shirt,  you may also add a separate donation, too- and ANY amount helps. If you manage to buy 10 shirts, our band will give you a laminate for lifetime access as an honorary crew member, to ANY of our shows. This allows you time with the band, free entry to our events, and more importantly- you will be a direct supporter of Wishlist. The person or family who buys the most shirts during this campaign will have a year of fun little gifts, from our collection of Pearl Jam trinkets, and from our band directly. 

This is our LAST campaign. We will not be running a third. The goal is 150 shirts-- but waiting for someone ELSE to support the foundation won't lead us to our goal. Tweet, Facebook, Pinterest us-- use whatever social media you want, but make sure before you do, you BUY A SHIRT!! WE need YOU! The Wishlist Foundation doesn't run on dreams and hopes... every dime it gets goes a long way in changing lives. Don't let one of your friends- another fan-- down. Help us HELP them!  Grrl Jam will NOT see a penny of this drive-- anything earned goes directly to the foundation office. If you can't donate through us, attend an event, or better yet, visit their website, become a member, and donate directly to them. We will do the same!
