About this campaign
The Greensburg Salem Education Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds to provide teacher grants for projects and technology not covered by the GSSD budget.
GSEF was developed in the fall of 2012 and has provided over $29,000 in Golden Apple Grants to date, promoting success for the students of the Greensburg Salem School District.
The board of directors is comprised of community members, teachers, student representatives, parents, school board members, and school administrators. GSHS class of ‘85 alumna Barb Nicolai Garofola is the GSEF chairperson.
The primary fundraisers that provide for the Golden Apple Grants include the following:
Commemorative Bricks, permanently displayed in front of the auditorium at the high school.
Designer Purse Bash, which recently took place on March 5 at Marion Hall in Crabtree.
Distinguished Alumni Award Banquet, this year honoring Paul Murphy, Huddie Kaufman, and Dr. Jack Smith on April 1, 2016, at Ferrante’s Lakeview, Route 30.
Donations from alumni, community members, and local businesses.
