#GreenKids Upgrade

EarthSource Services was founded in 2010, is was a information based landscape consultation service. It grew into less Consultation and more Informative Seminars for local organizations and Gardening groups. I created #GreenKids this year because that's actually what everything is about, doing all the other work to keep the Kids programs 'Free'. We teach children sustainable agriculture, healthy ecology, and keeping chemicals out of and off our farmed food items. Children are the future of our world, they need to be taught greener methods to save the planet. Children earn ways to lessen their carbon footprint, and are excited about it. I am only one woman, with one voice, but I have hope that with our "Green It Forward" strategy, we can make a difference. Teaching children how to give back is important to us as well. In 2013 they've raised enough money to give one child an life changing operation at Operation Smile. They've collected 75 hats for cancer, chemotherapy, & hospice patients with ESS.SC7 Caps For Cancer. We also help out at the Local Free Clinic. In 2014 we have planned a Seedballing project, and planting 100 tree seedlings on Arbor Day. Adding Edibles to the landscape is ongoing, from teaching kids to eat and drink their greens, to growing beautiful antioxidant rich Blueberries, the topics are endless and children really do soak it up like little sponges.
