Good Heart Farmstead: Making Local Food Accessible for Everyone!

We believe that everyone deserves access to nourishing food, and that the food we eat informs our lives. Food is the foundation that fuels us to follow our passions and to offer our best selves to the world.

We believe that farms can grow more than food. To us,the core of a farm is community, and we strive to grow a community that feeds the bodies, minds, and spirits of all its members.

Our mission is to grow healthy, whole foods and to make them available to people of all income levels, increasing the accessibility of local food to low-income Vermonters. We strive to strengthen our community through food, and to promote creativity, communication, peace and learning through a direct connection to the land and the food we eat.

To work towards achieving our mission, we hold two annual fundraisers and partner with the NOFA-Vermont Farm Share Program in order to subsidize CSA shares for our neighbors who otherwise would not be able to afford them. We donate produce to the Worcester Food Shelf weekly through the summer growing season, and encourage those who are able to purchase a “donation” share for the FoodShelorsimilar organization that distributes food to those in need. In this way,we all act together to increase local food access.

This t-shirt fundraiser will go towards subsidizing CSA shares and increasing the number of low-income families we support through discounted weekly vegetable shares.
