Cheyenne River Youth Project Fundraiser for the the "Little Main" getting a new playground!

About this campaign

The Cheyenne River Youth Project was founded in 1988. That year, CRYP took an old bar called the little brown jug and turned it into the Main. Since then we have grown into a larger Main Youth Center building, a teen center, 2 acre naturally grown garden, Waniyetu Wowapi (Winter Count) Art Park, Family Services Program, and Social Enterprise initiative.

For the last three decades, the Cheyenne River Youth Project has provided a safe place for young children to play after school, on weekends and during the summer months. But playground equipment ages and becomes unsafe over time. Recognizing that we needed to upgrade ours, we embarked on a new playground project with outside partners, dismantling our old one to make way for the new.

Unfortunately, outside of CRYP’s control, that project has fallen through—leaving our kids without a playground. So we are asking our friends and supporters to join us in a fundraising campaign to bring a brand-new playground to The Main! Together we can fulfill the promise we made to our children.
