About this campaign
We are selling these t-shirts to help raise awareness and hopefully prevent another family going through this horrible experience. We have set a goal of $6000 for the AFSP (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention) and $1000 goal for a scholarship in the memory of Mikayla. The closing date for this round of t-shirts will be June 26, 2015.
August 25, 2013 our world was destroyed. Mikayla Smith had taken her life at the age of 17. She was a daughter, grand-daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and best friend to many. No one will ever understand how this can happen to such a bright and beautiful young girl with a promising future. It still feels like yesterday. As we try to put the pieces of our lives back together we want to help others in any way we can. We walked in Toledo for the AFSP the first year in 2013, when it was so new it was almost too hard to go. We also walked in 2014, and plan to walk every year from here on out. Help us with our goal to be the top fundraising team and lead the Out of the Darkness walk in downtown Toledo October 3, 2015. We would like to thank you in advance for your contribution and support to raise awareness for those who have lost a loved one and for others to know, they are not alone.
