About this campaign
K9 cancer is a growing issue and way too many succumb to this horrible disease leaving their families behind heartbroken on top of having astronomical bills. My Samurai fought mass cell cancer bravely, but sadly went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 20, 2014. I decided to do a fundraiser not only to help with the bills left behind from his surgery and medication, but also to be able to honor him bymaking a donation to The National Canine Cancer Foundation and spreading awareness to hopefully save others.
K9 cancer is a growing issue and way too many succumb to this horrible disease leaving their families behind heartbroken on top of having astronomical bills. My Samurai fought mass cell cancer bravely, for several monthsbut sadly went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 20, 2014. He would have been 10 years old on April 26. While Samurai fought his cancer he continued to be a breed ambassador andeven earned 5 tricks dog titles, qualified to compete in freestyle dance and taped a dance performance. he delivered smooches to everyone he would see and was happy to slam into them with his booty for scratches.Staying active helped us both cope with his illness and kept him stronger for a longer period of time. He never ever gave up and I didn't give up on him! Samurai loved life and always lived it to the fullest. Thus, the saying on the shirt which I hope reminds everyone to enjoy every moment of life! Please check your pooches at least monthly for lumps and bumps. Do massages over every inch, and if you find anything get it checked asap. Watch for signs in behavior and appetite. Things like weight loss and lethargy are all things that warrant a vet check. Just like in people the sooner an issue is found the better a prognosis can be... I hope Samuraiinspiresyou allto live life to the fullest, love like there is no tomorrow, dance like no one is watching and FIGHT k9 cancer... in honor of Samurai and all those who have gone before him or are battling the cancer beast right now! Samurai and his packed helped us to understand Pit Bull better. Also my Jade went through Cancer. We cheered Samurai on through his journey

Samurai and Patch O' Pits have us given countless smiles and motivation - just paying back a little.
My rescue Rilind Reborn is battling this nasty disease as well. He just finished 4 weeks of radiation and is on oral chemo for at least 6 months.
Samurai was a wonderful dog and I just lost my baby girl today to cancer. RIP Samurai and Emmie
