I don't normally share this much personal information, but I need all the support I can get from all of you prayer warriors. On March 18th, 2014 I had my yearly mammogram and then ultrasound and the results came back as abnormal. I know, me . . . abnormal? Who would have thunk it. Lol. Anyway, they decided to do a needle biopsy to get a piece of tissue. That was March 28th, 2014. The results for that, ...came back benign. My wonderful Dr. and the staff at Medical Imaging Eastland and Tmc Lakewood could not have been any better. My Dr. decided that the results of the path report were not good enough and did not match with what was seen and felt on exam. They then did an incisional biopsy on April 3rd, 2014. I got the phone call on April 9th, 2014 @ 312 pm that indeed I have breast cancer. Invasive ductal Grade 1 carcinoma. I meet with my Oncologist on April 22nd, 2014 to discuss a plan for treatment. Thank god that the team of Dr's that I have, decided to take a second and third look. They found it early. I am very grateful. I will write more after I meet with my Oncologist.
