About this campaign

April is National Parkinson's Awareness Month and every dollar raised helps Rock Steady Boxing fuel the fight against Parkinson's disease. While millions of dollarshave been raised to find a cure, Rock Steady Boxing helps people with Parkinson's maintain their quality of life today and gives people hope.

DSC_2395JPGRock Steady Boxing was founded in 2006 to give people with Parkinson’s disease hope by improving their quality of life through a non-contact boxing based fitness curriculum. Parkinson’s disease is a degenerative movement disorder which can cause deterioration of motor skills, balance, speech and sensory function.

Today, we are helping hundreds of people with Parkinson's disease at our Indianapolis facility take back their lives through an intensive, rigorous exercise program that is proving beneficial to everyone with Parkinson's, at all stages of the disease. Parkinson's boxer Pete says, "Of all the pills I've taken, Rock Steady Boxing is the finest and most effective."

Our boxers range in age from their late 30's to early 90's. The RSB"Affiliate Program"helps others Coaches start RSB-style classes in their own communitiesandtoday we haveover 30 Affiliates in12 states fighting back - and even two international Affiliates in Italy and Australia!

"Today, I have a new lease on life. I am upbeat, happy, and optimistic - I have HOPE. I have taken control of this disease. It is not controlling me," says Parkinson's boxer Linda.

Help us fight back!
