Uni Alum Hormozd Gahvari (class of '99) has been battling Ewing's Sarcoma, an aggressive tumor that led to the amputation of one of his legs. It recently spread to his lungs, and he has been undergoing some intense chemotherapy while awaiting new experimental therapies. I would like to ask all Uni alums and their families to come together for Hormozd, his wife Ashley, and their baby girl (due soon!). We are hosting a VIRTUAL 5K Run/Walk to raise funds for his family. Sign up, get a shirt, and complete the 5K ON YOUR TIME!
Virtual running is an event that can be run at any location, at any time, at any pace. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside, or you can participate in another "real-world" race. It's completely up to you! Is the distance too long? No problem! You can break the distance up over multiple days to make it more manageable. Since Hormozd is about to become a DAD for the first time, we would like to suggest that you complete the race on Father's Day Weekend (June 18-19). As you complete it, please post pictures of you wearing your shirt and/or videos sharing support for Hormozd!
