About this campaign

I am serving as a volunteer to represent my state on March 28th, 2015 at the WorldWide EndoMarch in Washington D.C! This movement seeks to raise awareness for the 176 million women that are affected by the disease, Endometriosis. Endometriosis  causes many complications among women and girls, such as extremely painful periods, chronic pelvic pain disorder and subfertility/infertility. In severe cases, Endometriosis can spread throughout the body, causing issues among other organs.

In severe cases, Endometriosis can spread throughout the body, causing issues amongst other organs.

Women and girls who suffer from this disease have trouble with even the simplest of things, such as spending time with friends and family, any physical activities, working, or just enjoying a night out with friends or a loved one.

Despite how painful this disease can be, Endometriosis normally remains undiagnosed for approximately 10 years. Waiting so long for an official diagnosis can lead to many other medical issues. Because research is not advanced enough, Endometriosis can only be diagnosed through an invasive surgery called a laparoscopy.. This is why Team Oklahoma must travel to Washington D.C. next year so we can help educate health officials, legislatures, and the general public about the devastating effects of this disease and everything it robs of these women and girls.

Endometriosis has impacted our lives significantly, and now is our time to stand together as sufferers and supporters, to make a difference, have our voice heard, and take a stand against this disease.

Please consider helping our cause by making a donation to our team's travel expenses and outreach efforts. When making your donation, please make sure to leave a note to state which member of our state's team that you would like to support.
