"Ears for Emily" Microtia Awareness

Emily is 2 years old and from Feasterville, PA.  She was born with Bilateral Microtia and Atresia, as well as Hemifacial Microsomia. Which basically means both of her ears are malformed, she does not have ear canals or ear drums, and she also has different sized facial bones on each side. Although Emily is beautiful the way she is, we want to help her avoid the obstacles she is currently facing and will face, as well as the inevitable unkind nature of some kids and adults. We hope to raise money to help with the medical and travel expenses to California for her to have Medpor surgery on both ears so she will have "normal" looking ears. Things most of us take for granted like wearing glasses, tucking our hair behind our ears, and getting our ears pierced, Emily cannot do. So as early as 3 years old, Emily can have reconstructive surgery to both of her ears. The Medpor surgery is only performed by a select amount of surgeons and the best are in CA. She will need 2-3 surgeries and each requires a 2 week stay. Eventually when she is around 5 or 6 we will see if she is a candidate for the inner ear surgery to be done so she would be able to hear without a hearing aid. Any donation you are able to make would be greatly appreciated and never forgotten. If by chance there are additional funds raised, that money will go towards another Microtia/Atresia child's surgery.
