About this campaign

Project DEBUNK is working to bridge the gap between school and families looking to change educational pathways for dyslexic students. We believe you need to focus on the whole child, and we will continue to do workshops and simulations to create empathy and understanding whenever possible.

We are working to purchase educational materials to meet the needs of more students in the higher tutoring levels this year. Any help is appreciated and real blessing.

Shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the close date.

Project DEBUNK's vision is for every dyslexic youth in our community and beyond to receive the support needed to feel successful, beginning in preschool and continuing into adulthood, by focusing on the whole child, including the social and emotional health and growth that is needed to live a meaningful life. You can visit our website if you want to know more about us at www.dyslexiamaine.com.

Both my children have Dyslexia and I want others to know they aren't handicapped. They are gifted, just not in the traditional academic way. :)

I thank the Lord daily that I have my dyslexic daughter. She is my hero and has encouraged me to learn everything I can and share, advocate and tutor in her school.

My daughter has dyslexia and I am a teacher. Since my daughter has been diagnosed it is alarming to me how many students I have misjudged and how many dyslexic students I now try to help each school year. I'm working hard to educate my school.

I am the Mother of a dyslexic high school student as well as a Barton Reading and Spelling System Tutor. I have experienced the pain of confusion when children struggle as well as the joyous relief when the need is identified and satisfied.
