About this campaign

All profits will be split between UNICEF and the CCRF. 61 People already registered on our early registration page!  The numbers on this page do not factor in those 61 participants.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION--PLEASE READ WHOLE SECTION--FREE SHIPPING OPTION BELOW

First off, the number shirts sold on this page does not represent the full number of participants for the event.  We had an early registration page that closed on March 19th, and 61 people registered through that page!  Those 61 participants are not reflected on this page.  So, add 61 shirts to the number you see above!

The Dueling Charity 5K is a fun run hosted by the University of Minnesota student group, Students for Justice in Palestine.  The event is on April 4, 2015.  The route is on the University of Minnesota Campus.

When you purchase a shirt, you may specify in the "Please share why you're supporting this campaign" section at the bottom of the purchase page as to which charity, UNICEF or Children's Cancer Research Fund, you would like to support.  The proceeds from your shirt purchase will then be donated to the charity you have chosen.  If you do not specify this in the "comments" section, the proceeds from your contribution will simply be split 50/50 between the two charities.

Event Information:  The 5K run/walk course will be entirely on campus at the University of Minnesota.  The path can be seen on the map we have posted on our Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/duelingcharity5k
This Facebook page will also be the main page for all event information and updates, so please follow the page and check it periodically.  The date of the race will be Saturday, April 4th, 2015.  The start time of the race will be 11 am, but we will need people to show up at 10 am to check in.

Registration Information:  By purchasing your shirt on this Booster page, you will be officially registered for our 5K run on April 4th, 2015.  You will get an immediate email from Booster as a confirmation for your shirt order.  Then, within a day or two, you will get a second email from us giving you your registration confirmation and specific event details.

UNICEF:  The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund is a United Nations Program that provides long-term humanitarian and developmental assistance to children and mothers in developing countries.

CCRF:  The Children's Cancer Research Fund is a national nonprofit organization that supports the pioneering efforts at the University of Minnesota in research related to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of childhood cancers.

Clarification  All proceeds from this 5K will be split between UNICEF and Children's Cancer Research.  We would like to address why the top of the page says "All funds raised will go directly to Students for Justice in Palestine," in case there is any concern.  The University of Minnesota student group, Students for Justice in Palestine, is the official sponsor for this event.  They are the group that is keeping track of funds (how much goes to each charity) and will be disbursing the funds.  Therefore, Booster.com is paying the profits from this event directly to Students for Justice in Palestine so they may disburse the appropriate amount to each charity.  So, just to reiterate--all profits from this event will be going to the two charities.
