About this campaign

Exposing high school age young men to outstanding opportunities outside of their community is a phenomenal experience. A large percentage of young men in our program have not traveled outside of the city or state to visit colleges and universities. We discovered this during our 1st college tour six years ago when we rented a passenger van and mapped our tours and the seven young men experienced a life changing event. Since then we have desired to have a full scale college tour and we are planning on 2014-15 to be the year. Your support will help us with this goal.

The Detroit Kappa Leadership DevelopmentLeagueis a High School Leadership Development Program forhigh school ageyoung men. The founding principles(phases) that guide our direction are: Self-Identity, Training, Social, Competition and Health Education. Our goal is to assist in successfully preparing these young men for College and subsequent Careers. The success of this fundraiser will allow the young men to attend a college tour during the fall and spring of the 2014-15 school year and expose them to wonderful opportunities available at institutions of higher learning.
