Destiny Goss is a high school student at Harmony Science Academy-Beaumont. She is currently hospitalized at Texas Children's Hospital after being transported from St. Elizabeth via Life Flight on October 24th. She is suffering from end stage renal disease among other serious medical conditions, including dysautonomia and chronic ascending cholangitis. To be healthy again, Destiny will require both a kidney and liver transplant. Destiny's mother is Christy Goss, a 4th & 5th grade teacher at Harmony Science Academy. Destiny’s father passed away in 2009. Due to Destiny's frequent hospitalizations and medical needs, Ms. Goss has traveled to back and forth to Houston to support her daughter. Medical bills are mounting for the family, as well as the expenses required to travel to and from Texas Children's Hospital multiple times a week, park in costly garages, and eat while out of town - in addition to Ms. Goss having to miss days of work.
