Walk for Wishes 2015 Fundraiser

In 2008, our daughter, Madelyn DeMore, was diagnosed with Alexander Disease at one year of age. She fought hard for a long time before the disease began to win. In July 2012, Make-A-Wish contacted us about granting a wish for Madelyn. Maddie was non-verbal, but we knew she had shown an interest in the elephants from our trips to the zoo. This happens to be one of the best things about Make-A-Wish. They do not need a verbal expression to grant a child's wish, unlike other organizations. Lucky for us, the circus was coming into town in September. Our wish granters (who are amazing), put together a memorable event for not only Jack, myself, and Madelyn but also for some of our extended family. Madelyn was even granted access to get up close and personal with the elephants. We are so blessed to have this adventure with our little girl and it was an experience we will never forget.
