Here are a couple messages from Dan about the fight for your liberty:

On the Affordable Care Act- "Completely frustrated with the never-ending assault on individual liberty. We now live in a country where we must buy not only health insurance, but a government-sanctioned type of health insurance. We must violate core religious tenets to comply with Obamacare under threat of government fine. We must be subjected to blanket electronic surveillance whether we violate the law or not. We must forfeit our right to protect ourselves and our families, although those who have stolen that right from us have a security force surrounding them which is financed by our hard-earned tax dollars.

It is clear that liberty’s triumph over collectivism was a temporary one. Sadly the battle to convince America that their lives are best controlled by themselves continues. Fight on, as the alternative is not an option."

On the NSA's collection of information about your private-self- "Do not buy the liberty versus security argument. It is a red herring. There are long established and valuable intelligence production & criminal investigative techniques which, when combined with a renewed effort to reform our federal law enforcement & intelligence agencies, can produce a vibrant counter-terrorism operation while not infringing on the Constitutional freedoms of millions of law abiding Americans.

We have over 100,000 federal law enforcement officials all contained within numerous agencies all walled off from each other. How about a bold reform proposal that seeks to fix the inter-agency communication and interoperability problems before we decide to trample on the Constitution and collect data on innocent Americans completely frustrated with government and just asking to be left alone?

Also, do not be misled into thinking that simply because Director of National Intelligence James Clapper & a FISA court said this program passes muster that there is "Nothing to see here". Your Constitutionally guaranteed liberties are not for sale, they are not up for a floor vote and the legions of heroes who died preserving these rights are owed more than simple acquiescence.

All of us were born free, not free from pain or the multitude of responsibilities that accompany freedom, but free from the arbitrary whims of men seeking to impose their will upon us at their discretion. We deserve better."
