About this campaign

The Mighty Metala-Kid special issues was created to give to Children's Hospitals, for the kids there to have a fun comic book, following a hero their age. Tomorrowverse Creator Shane Will, was himself a child who had Leukemia, and comics helped him get through it. Now he wants to give that to the children there now, and we need your help.

Shane Will, the creator of CK Comics and the Tomorrowvers, was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 5 years old. During his stays at the Children's Hospital in Oakland CA, his father would bring him comics to help pass the time. Now as an adult in remission, and in the comic book business Shane wants to give that joy and adventure he felt to the kids in Children's Hospital now. He createdfor his comic line a character that is 8 years old, with a background similar to his (having gone through Leukemia himself), and developed superpowers. This character is Metala-Kid. Along with other talented creators from Scattered Comics (Josh Check, Jason Dube, Noel Serrato, and more), they created a special edition of Metala-Kid with three exciting stories for everyone to enjoy. This special issue is what we want to give to the kids. Starting the end of April, at the Children's Hospital in Fresno CA, we will be giving out these books to the children. We need your help to there to get these books printed. Each shirt you get will not only put comic books in the hands of sick children, but will show your support for them everywhere. Thank you everyone!
