Youth Development Centers of America (YDCA) is a nonprofit organizationdedicated to enhancing the quality of life for youth. We provide mentoring programs for middle and high school youth and highly diverse cultures in the Chicago Urban area. YDCA develops partnerships with local school districts, the juvenile court system, counseling facilities,churches, etc. We offer programs directly in response to the growing number of young people that are either falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the juvenile court system and DCFS. Our Mission:To provide area youth with safe, structured, and supervised activities that will allow for healthy emotional and cognitive development regardless of race, class, or creed. In addition, help those individuals reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible individuals in the world. Our Goal:The primary goal for YDCA is to encourageentrepreneurship,reduce crime, promote health; social, educational, and character development for boys and girls ages 12through 18,by self-esteem, inward values,career skill sets and spiritual development.As a result, children will be able to develop social skills, academic skills and athletic ability,providing them with more opportunities to succeed in promising careers.http://www.chicagoydca.org/
