Charlie the Service Dog

Charlie is now seeing two different vet specialists to address his medical needs.  He has developed arthritis is his front elbow and we are in the process of seeing if it's dysplasia and if's it's bi-lateral (in both elbows).  We are also working on helping Charlie to cope with his high stress levels.  Please know that Charlie is still working hard, despite these new challenges.  

I had been waiting for almost 2 years to receive a call from a local service dog program (United Disability Services) to tell me they have found my new partner and that time finally came in November of 2012!  They told me they'd like me to meet a few dogs and there was Charlie... we connected immediately and from there it was history. As of March 2014 we have been an official team for a year!  We even retake our Public Access Test this month.  He does many things for me, some of which include: picking things up, opening/closing doors, pulling things like shirts and socks off, safety, support, and independence (to name just a few).  I am so excited to have him in my life and love blessing others with him.
