About this campaign

As New Hampshire's only comprehensive, full-service children's hospital, the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD)provides an extended system of care that offers advanced pediatric services. CHaD was recognized in 1992 as a "children's hospital within a hospital" by the Children's Hospital Association. CHaD is one of 205 children's hospitals in the United States providing care specifically focused on children. CHaD Kids are the more than 60,000 patients per year who receive care at one of our 14 locations across Vermont and New Hampshire. At CHaD we are imagining healthier futures thanks to the financial support from the CHaD HERO. Thank you.

More than 60,000 CHaD kids and their families can imagine healthier futures thanks to the care they receive at CHaD every year. This care is supported in part through the generosity of CHaD HEROES (a.k.a participants, donors, and sponsors) Example programs funded through funds raised at the CHaD HERO include: The Child Life Program: Relies on donor dollars for operational support, to provide CHaD kids with birthday parties, holiday celebrations, daily activities and toys, books and DVDs which are used to supplement therapy as well as just letting kids play and be kids. Intensive Care Nursery:Studies show that premature infants benefit substantially from close contact and cuddling from parents and caregivers. Philanthropic support has helped CHaD's Intensive Care Nursery purchase additional Kangaroo Chairs to help provide this care to our smallest patients. Molly's Place: Created by families, for families, Molly's Place at the CHaD Family Center offers a welcoming space to provide families with education & community connections. Molly's Place is 100% funded by donations. http://chadkids.org/
